How It Works

Turn any driving range session into a full 18-hole round on a real professional tour course. Hit your shots at the range, mark where they land on the satellite map, and RushRound scores your round as if you were walking the course.

1

Go to the Range

Head to any driving range with your clubs. No country club memberships, no greens fees, no fancy simulators, or wiz-bang technology.

2

Play the Course of the Week

Each week, RushRound features the same course the pros are playing on Tour. View each hole on the satellite map, see what distance you need, pick a target on the range, and hit your shot. Focus on your full swings at the range — you'll finish each hole with real chips and putts later.

3

Log Each Stroke

After each shot, tap the map to mark where your ball landed. RushRound calculates the distance, logs your club, and scores each hole automatically. It even tracks fairways hit and greens in regulation.

4

Putt Out at the Practice Green

After your range session, head to the practice chipping and putting green to finish your round. Tap "Putt Out" on your scorecard, and RushRound walks you through each hole showing exactly how far your last shot left you from the pin. Drop a ball that distance away, chip and putt it in for real, and log your strokes as you go. Your score is recalculated on the fly so it reflects your actual short game — not just an estimate.

5

Compare with the Pros

Play the course of the week up to 4 times. Compare your rounds with the professionals. Share and replay your rounds to show off your skills and see how you stack up as you watch them on TV.

6

Play with Honor

We're all tempted to take a mulligan now and then. But fudging your shots only hurts your own game — your stats won't reflect reality, your handicap won't be accurate, and you won't know where you actually need to improve. Log every shot honestly, even the shanks. That's how you get better.

7

Practice with Purpose

Between rounds, head to the range for a focused practice session. Pick a target, log each shot with club and ball flight, and watch your range view fill in — green dots for shots inside your dispersion, red for misses. Over time you build a real, accurate picture of your club distances and shot patterns — the exact numbers RushRound uses to suggest clubs, mark targets, and score your next tour round.

8

Review and Improve

Between rounds, your dashboard shows your handicap trend, strokes-gained breakdown, scoring distribution, and real per-club distance and dispersion. Use it to plan your next practice session — work the part of your game that's actually costing you shots, not just the one that's most fun to practice.

Know Your Game. Play Game-Ready.

Every shot you log feeds a full analytics suite — the same numbers the pros live by. Stop guessing what to practice. Start knowing.

Handicap

Calculated using the official World Handicap System from your real, logged rounds. Know exactly where you stand and watch it move as you improve. No more guessing what to write on the scorecard at your buddy's member-guest.

Strokes Gained

The same metric the PGA Tour uses to measure performance vs a scratch baseline, broken down by Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green, and Putting. Instantly see whether you're losing shots to your driver, your wedges, or your flat stick — so your next range session targets the part of your game that actually costs you strokes.

Scoring Distribution

A visual breakdown of every eagle, birdie, par, bogey, and double+ you've made. Spot the patterns: are bogeys creeping in on par 5s? Are you bleeding doubles on long par 4s? Course management gets a lot easier when you can see where the damage comes from.

Club Distances

Your real, average carry for every club in the bag, learned automatically from every practice shot you log. Walk onto any course knowing exactly what 152 yards looks like for you — not what the back of the magazine says a 7-iron should go.

Club Dispersion

Not just how far — how tight. See your real shot pattern per club as an ellipse, calculated live from every practice shot. Know when you can attack a tucked pin and when to aim at the fat side of the green.

Practice with purpose. Play with confidence. Stay game-ready year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does RushRound work at a driving range?
You hit real shots at the range and use the RushRound app to mark where each shot would land on the actual course. The app uses satellite maps of the real course and calculates distances based on your club and shot placement. At the range you focus on full swings only — when you're done, head to the practice green and use "Putt Out" to finish each hole with real chips and putts. You play all 18 holes without ever stepping on a course.
What is Practice Mode?
Practice Mode is a dedicated range session — no course, no scoring, just shot tracking. You pick a target on the range, log each shot with the club you hit and its ball flight, and RushRound plots the result against your dispersion. It's the fastest way to build an accurate picture of your real club distances and shot patterns, and you can resume a session later to keep adding shots.
Do I have to play a full round every time?
No. Practice Mode lets you use RushRound as a pure range tool — track every shot, measure your distances and dispersion, work on a specific club — without committing to 18 holes. Many players alternate: a practice session one day, a tour round the next.
What is club dispersion and how is it measured?
Club dispersion is how tight your shots group around your target line — the horizontal spread of your misses, measured in yards. Every practice shot you log contributes: RushRound measures the perpendicular distance from your target line and averages it per club. The result is visualized as an ellipse around each target, so you can see at a glance which clubs you can trust to attack a pin and which ones need a margin.
Do I need to download an app?
No. RushRound is a web app that works in any mobile browser. Just go to rushround.com, sign in, and start playing. No App Store or Play Store needed.
Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads. We built RushRound because we love golf and wanted to make the Tour experience accessible to everyone.
How do I know which course to play?
RushRound automatically loads the same course the pros are playing that week. Just sign in and the current course is ready to go.
How many rounds can I play per week?
You can play up to 4 rounds per week on the featured course. Each round is a full 18 holes.
What is "Putt Out"?
Putt Out is how you finish your round at the practice chipping and putting green. After your range session, open your scorecard and tap "Putt Out." RushRound walks you through each hole showing exactly how far your last shot left you from the pin. Drop a ball that distance from a hole on the practice green, chip and putt it in for real, and log your strokes. Your final score reflects your actual short game — not an estimate.
How accurate is the scoring?
RushRound uses GPS-accurate satellite imagery and the Haversine formula to calculate distances between your shots. Scoring follows standard golf rules — your stroke count per hole versus par.
Can I see how I compare to the pros?
Yes! After the pros play their rounds on TV, you can compare your scorecard to theirs on the same course, same week.
How does RushRound help me improve?
Every shot you log feeds a full analytics dashboard: official WHS handicap, Strokes Gained vs scratch (broken down by tee, approach, short game, and putting), scoring distribution, and real per-club distance and dispersion from your practice sessions. Instead of guessing what to work on, you'll know exactly where you're losing strokes — then use Practice Mode to drill the clubs and distances that are actually costing you shots.
What is Strokes Gained?
Strokes Gained is the gold-standard performance metric used on the PGA Tour. It compares each of your shots to what a scratch golfer would average from the same spot. A positive number means you gained strokes on the field; a negative number means you lost them. RushRound breaks it down by Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green, and Putting so you can see exactly which part of your game is your strength — and which part needs work.
What clubs do I need?
Whatever you normally bring to the range. RushRound supports all standard clubs from driver to putter. The app automatically suggests the right club based on distance.
